Now that football fever is in many homes around the country, then Husqvarna also takes the opportunity to invite the families' robotic lawnmowers to the party. Husqvarna launched a new update on June 14th that means your robotic lawnmower will imitate iconic goal gestures when your favorite team scores. This feature will be available until July 14, 2024.
Husqvarna is taking football fever to new heights with an update for its robotic lawnmowers. Over 150,000 lawnmowers worldwide will now celebrate with you as your favorite football team scores a goal. Husqvarna engineers have developed a feature that allows lawnmowers to imitate some of the most iconic victory gestures throughout football history in real time.
Dancing lawnmower
The new features include three classic target gestures -- the Robot Dance, the Tornado and the 180-degree spins. Users can easily select their favorite team in the Husqvarna Automower® Connect app. When the team scores a goal, the lawnmower will celebrate by performing one of the three goal gestures, flashing his headlights and playing a fanfare.
The technology behind the celebration
To recreate these iconic gestures, Husqvarna has teamed up with experts in robotic emotion expression. The dancing robotic lawnmowers work through an API that provides the mower with real-time information about goals scored, and the mower's display is transformed into a scoreboard showing the current scoring position.
Accessibility
The software update is available from June 14 to July 14, 2024 for Automower 405X, 415X, 320 NERA, 430X NERA, 450X NERA, 310E NERA and 410XE NERA models. Users will receive a notification of the update in the Automower Connect app.
Husqvarna believes that it is a matter of course that the robotic lawnmower should be able to celebrate together with the whole family, as many have a special relationship with their mower and now Husqvarna is taking it to a whole new level.
