IKEA Releases Two New Smart Products

Now there are two new products in the smart home category at IKEA. Tretakt is IKEA's new smart plug and Badring is a new sensor for water leakage. In conjunction with the upcoming update of IKEA's smart hub Dirigera, these devices will gain access to Matter.

Tretakt

A sequel to Wireless that is governed by the Zigbee 3.0 protocol. The design is slightly smaller and very reminiscent of Eve's Matter-compatible smart plug with its physical button and LED. The product itself is therefore not compatible with Matter, but gets this through the Dirigera, which currently has access to Matter in Beta. The price is only 99kr.

Badring

This is a new product at IKEA that also runs on the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, similar products have long been available at competitors but not at an equally low price. By placing the battery-powered device in vulnerable places in the home, Badring in contact with water can give a signal or push notification if it is connected to the Direct Hub. The price is 99kr and will probably be available to order soon.
