At IFA 2024 in Berlin, Reolink has presented its latest addition: the Altas PT Ultra. This outdoor surveillance camera sets a new standard in battery-powered security cameras, focusing on 4K UHD quality, continuous recording and advanced colour vision even at night. The new camera is part of Reolink's latest brand campaign which emphasises their quest for a safe home.

A very good camera

Reolink Altas PT Ultra stands out for its combination of features that solve the most common problems of security cameras: missed moments, limited battery life and poor image quality at night. With an impressive 20,000mAh battery capacity and 4K 8MP resolution, the camera can deliver continuous recording for up to 8 days per charge.

Color vision both day and night

One of the most sought-after features of Alta's PT Ultra is its full-color night vision, made possible by Reolink's ColorX technology. With a large F1.0 aperture and a 1/1.8-inch sensor, the camera lets in four times more light than traditional IR cameras, providing crisp, detailed images even on the darkest nights — without the need for bright lights.

Pre-record feature of 10s

The camera also has the ability to record 10 seconds of video before an event occurs, thanks to the new generation System-on-Chip (SoC). This feature eliminates delays often caused by PIR-based motion sensors, and ensures that the user does not miss anything important.

360° monitoring without dead angles

Alta's PT Ultra also offers 360° panoramic viewing through its pan-tilt function, this provides comprehensive monitoring without dead angles. Smart motion detection can distinguish between people, vehicles and animals, reducing the risk of unnecessary notifications. Unlike many other cameras, the Reolink Altas PT Ultra does not require monthly subscriptions for this feature.

Availability and market launch

Reolink's Altas PT Ultra will be available in Europe, North America and Australia from September 25, 2024.
