Dreame X40 Ultra

The Dreame X40 Ultra is the latest addition to Dreame's impressive range of robot vacuum cleaners. After testing this robot vacuum cleaner for a few weeks, we can establish that it really lives up to expectations with its advanced features and powerful performance.

With an impressive suction power of 12,000 Pa, the Dreame X40 Ultra is able to absorb even the most stubborn dirt particles. Its AI-based obstacle avoidance system, which uses RGB + 3D structured light, ensures it effectively navigates around obstacles in the home without getting stuck.

The Dreame X40 Ultra comes equipped with a variety of customizable cleaning features. The liftable and extendable side brush allows it to adapt to different floor types and clean even in hard-to-reach corners. In addition, the mop can be extended and removed for easy cleaning, and the vacuum cleaner has a self-cleaning washboard that automatically washes and dries the mop with hot water at 70°C.

The large battery capacity of 6,400 mAh means that the Dreame X40 Ultra can clean your home for a long time without needing to be recharged. Its dust container holds 300 ml, while the water tank has a capacity of 80 ml. The separate tank for clean and dirty water holds 4.5 liters and 4.0 liters, respectively, which allows it to clean large areas without interruption.

In addition to the aforementioned features, the Dreame X40 Ultra also offers the possibility of voice control, making it easy to integrate into your smart home. The function of dirt detection and rewashing of floors with multispectrum sensors ensures that your home is thoroughly cleaned. Auto tank filling and cleaning agent additive make the maintenance of the vacuum cleaner easy and convenient.

With the camera, you can easily monitor your home, either by controlling the robot vacuum cleaner itself with the app or selecting a point on the map for the robot to go to. It may not be the best camera angle because the robot rides along the floor but definitely something we use from time to time.

Dreames app is stylish and well made. Tons of features and settings are available and it's easy to get started. The base station is has a stylish reffled design with gold details and comes in black and white.

Dreame X40 Ultra is a high-performance robot vacuum cleaner that combines powerful suction capacity with intelligent cleaning functions. If you are looking for a reliable and efficient robot vacuum cleaner that can handle everything from daily cleaning to deeper cleaning, the Dreame X40 Ultra is a great choice. However, it comes with a large price tag that is not suitable for all households.

Roborock S7+

The Roborock S7+ offers an impressive set of features that will definitely enhance your cleaning adventure. This robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with advanced technology, including Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) mapping, self-emptying, mop function, vibrating mop, automatic mop lift, dedicated app, scheduling, voice control, zone control, multi-floor support, room control and no-mop zones.

An interesting aspect is that you have the option to buy the Roborock S7 without self-emptying at the beginning, but if later you wish to upgrade your experience, you can easily do so. It gives you the flexibility to customize your device to your needs over time.

The Roborock S7 excels especially when it comes to mopping floors. It performs more mopping rounds with high precision compared to its competitors, resulting in a noticeably cleaner surface. Its built-in sensor and foldable mop also ensure it avoids mopping on carpets, which is a smart feature to save time and energy.

It's important to note that the Roborock S7 has a feature missing from its predecessor, the Roborock S6. It lacks ReactiveAI Obstacle Avoidance, which means it can sometimes have difficulty handling larger objects on the floor that it cannot soak up.

It's also worth mentioning that Roborock has three new products in the pipeline in the S7 series. As soon as these are launched in Sweden, we will review them carefully to evaluate if they deserve a place on our list of recommended robot vacuums. The new models promise an even more powerful suction power as well as the long-awaited ReactiveAI Obstacle Avoidance feature, which could make them even more impressive than the Roborock S7. We look forward to seeing how these new supplements perform in the marketplace.
