Eufy SoloCam S340

We have a hard time finding anything negative with the SoloCam S340. It is a security camera that truly lives up to its promise of a smooth and complete security solution. The camera is powered by a battery with an impressive lifespan of around 90 days, and thanks to the included solar panel, you never have to worry about charging it manually. The upgraded solar panel, which is now 1.5X more powerful than previous versions, gives the camera 24/7 monitoring, as long as it receives enough sunlight. You can easily mount the solar panel on the camera for a discreet installation, or put it in a place where the sun reaches better.. Only two hours of sunlight a day is enough for the camera to operate for a full 24 hours. For flexibility, a three-meter USB-C cable is also included.

The SoloCam S340 is equipped with pan & tilt functionality and 8x hybrid zoom, which allows it to cover a huge surveillance surface without you missing any important details. This zoom is complemented by the advanced on-device AI-powered tracking, which ensures that the camera automatically follows a moving object in picture. This is especially useful for keeping track of movements and ensuring that nothing is lost in the image fields.

For night security, the SoloCam S340 impresses with its f/1.6 aperture, which provides excellent image quality in color even in low light. So whether it's day or night, you can count on sharp and clear images. In addition, the camera has two-way communication, which makes it easy to communicate with someone who is in the camera's field of view. It's also compatible with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, allowing you to control it with your voice and easily integrate it into your smart home.

For those who choose to buy the SoloCam S340 together with HomeBase 3, you will have access to BionicMind, a smart solution with facial recognition. The included 16GB storage in HomeBase 3 goes a long way, but there's also the option to upgrade to a whopping 16TB, giving you almost unlimited space to save video recordings.

Eufy EufyCam S3 Pro

The EufyCam S3 Pro is a robust 4K resolution camera that builds on Eufys' already successful range of products. The camera comes with Home Base 3, which is equipped with BionicMind AI, a feature that can recognize people's with facial recognition and learn physique. With up to 16GB of local storage, you also don't have to worry about cloud services, you can even upgrade up to 16TB of storage with an extra hard drive.

The camera's AI-powered night vision offers multiple modes and adapts to lighting conditions, meaning the image remains clear even in the dark. Thanks to both PIR and radar technology, the risk of false alarms is minimized, something that can otherwise be annoying for users who live in areas with a lot of traffic. Along with support for Apple Home Secure Video, which allows it to be easily integrated into smart home ecosystems, S3 Pro feels like a thoughtful solution for those who want full control and high security.

Another interesting feature is Cross Camera Tracking. For those who use multiple cameras, this means that the EufyCam S3 Pro can hand over the surveillance to the next camera if a movement moves out of view. This creates a seamless and accurate surveillance without interruption, something that can otherwise be a weakness with individual CCTV cameras. The videos are then put together into one and the same.

The drive with solar energy is another bonus. With Solar Plus 2.0 and the additional solar panel that you can use when needed, you can expect the camera to keep running without much need for recharging, making it suitable for more remote or hard-to-reach places where it is difficult to draw electricity. The adaptive spotlight complements the package and increases visibility when needed, while helping to deter unwanted visitors.

EufyCam S3 Pro also offers up-to-date two-way communication, which means you can speak directly to visitors or vendors through the camera — seamlessly for everything from delivering instructions to scaring off intruders. The sound should be much better and be able to isolate other noise.

In summary, the EufyCam S3 Pro is a strong addition to Eufys' product range, especially for those who want a high-quality and self-sufficient camera without running costs. It combines security, AI-powered features and a great user experience that can be easily integrated into various smart homes.
