Aqara Curtain Driver E1 is a practical solution that allows you to upgrade your existing curtains with automated motors and integrated HomeKit functionality. This innovative unit is available in two different variants to fit different curtain sets—one for curtain rods and a track version to fit U-rails and I-rails.

To get started with the Aqara Curtain Driver E1, simply open the Aqara app, select Curtain Driver E1 from the list of accessories, and follow the clear on-screen instructions to set the opening and closing positions. If you have two Curtain Driver E1 devices, you can easily pair them in the app to make them work in sync.

The device is designed to cope with heavier curtains, with a weight limit of up to 12 kg. However, it is important to double check that your curtains and curtain rod meet Aqara's compatibility requirements. For example, the curtain rod must have a diameter of between 25 mm and 32 mm and must not be telescopic.

With the built-in light sensor, you can easily automate your curtains to comply with the lighting conditions. You no longer need to manually adjust the curtains to avoid direct sunlight. If you pull the curtain a little, the motor that takes care of the rest of the work for you is activated.
