This GPS watch is the latest launch from Cmee Play. We have previously had Cmee play's GPS watch for children in our best in test and now Cmee play has released a new upgraded version. The Cmee Play Pro G5 was released in Q4 2023 and we were quick to take a closer look at this new model.

Features such as mobile phone, 4G coverage, parents app and GPS positioning remain similar to its predecessors. But this new version has even more features of course. A big difference of the Cmee Play Pro G5 compared to its predecessor Cmee Play is that this watch is linked to a new app Safekid. Safekid has a well-developed app that was previously used through their own GPS watches for children, among others. Safekid Nova and Safekid Rocket 4G. But now the app can also be used with the Cmee Play Pro G5 watch.

Among the new features that come with the Cmee Play Pro G5 are that the chat menu now supports inserted custom images and that you can send messages through the app. Another long-awaited feature has been to be able to receive and send text messages directly in the watch. The chat function also now supports emojis.

There's even a new feature called schedule. There you can add your child's activities or homework through the app. So the child can keep track of his activities via the watch. It is also easy to set an alarm for the watch. You can adjust yourself whether you want a signal for the alarm or whether the clock should vibrate.

The camera can be used to take pictures, record videos or make video calls between the app and the watch. Parents can also use the app to dial the clock and see what the clock sees. That feature is called video guard. It's a good feature if you're worried about your child and can't get hold of the child. Then you can ring the bell without being noticed so that you can see the sound and image from the watch. A good feature, but one that should only be used in case of emergency for the child's privacy.

Also this clock has a school mode, which means that you can set a do not disturb mode when the child is at school so that the child is not distracted by the clock during school hours. The watch then activates Do Not Disturb mode which causes the watch to become silent, locking the screen. So it only works like a regular clock.

There are three numbers you can put into the watch as an SOS contact. This means that if something happens that makes the child need to call a relative quickly, it is enough to hold a button on the right side of the bell and it will dial the numbers in order. A text message and SOS notification are also sent.

It is easy to personalize the watch. If you click on the dial and hold it, you can choose from several different backgrounds depending on your liking and taste. You can choose between displaying both an analog dial and a digital dial. It is also easy to change the layout of how the apps will be presented. This setting is easily done by clicking on Settings and entering Design Style. There are several different designs on how the apps can be presented.

In addition to the above good features, there are of course a lot of other good features. Among other things, there is a calculator, google translate, voice memo, stopwatch, calendar. If the watch gets wet, there is also a function where you can drain the water to reduce the risk of too much water entering the watch and spoiling it.
