Safekid has introduced a new GPS watch for children, Zenit, in 2024. Since 2017, Safekid has specialized in selling GPS watches for children and over the years has constantly improved its products to meet parents' demands for safety and functionality. Thanks to this, the company has established itself as a leading player in the market of child safety products.

Zenit is Safekid's latest addition and it differs from previous models, such as the Rocket V2 and Safekid Nova V2, through several upgrades. One of the most prominent improvements is the screen, which now uses OLED technology. This makes the screen both sharper and brighter compared to previous models, providing a better user experience for kids.

Another important improvement is the battery capacity. Zenit has a 900 mAh battery, which is an upgrade from the 680 mAh batteries used in the Rocket V2 and Nova V2. This means longer usage time and less frequent charging, however how far it needs to go between charges is different depending on usage.

There are also some changes in the features. Unlike the Rocket V2 and Nova V2, Zenit no longer has an eavesdropping feature or SMS feature. Communication instead takes place through the SafeKid app, where one can record voice messages, make video calls, send pictures and emojis. In addition, Zenit will be possible to use WhatsApp to chat with text messages, which is convenient for families who already use this platform. However, it is important to note that children under the age of 13 are not allowed to have their own WhatsApp account according to their terms of use, but the feature is limited so that children can only communicate with contacts approved by their parents through the app.

In addition to the above functions, you have pedometer, google translate, calculator, camera, video function, schedule and alarm in the watch. As a parent, you can control the watch and see the watch's various activities via the Safekid app. There you will see the GPS positioning, the watch's battery directly when you enter the app. You can also ping the clock if you don't know where you put the clock.

Parents have great control over the clock through the app. They can set when the clock should be turned off or on, specify which numbers the watch is allowed to call, and block unwanted numbers. They can also read the watch's SMS and monitor usage in various ways.

To use Zenit, a SIM card is needed, and Safekid offers its own subscription, Safekid Verbal, which is adapted for these watches. You can also use other providers if desired. The data requirement for the watch is low, usually between 0.5 and 1 GB per month.

Zenit comes with two bracelets and frames in different colors: one black and one pink. Also included is a magnetic charging cable, but you need a USB charger/adapter with a maximum power of 5 watts and 1 amp to be able to charge the watch.

In summary, Zenit is a flexible GPS watch that offers improved display, longer battery life and different communication options, while providing parents with comprehensive control and peace of mind.
