SwitchBot has recently unveiled its latest innovation, the third-generation electronic curtain control, known as SwitchBot Curtain 3. This new version has taken on board the feedback of users and includes several impressive updates in relation to its predecessors. The most notable improvements are the increased weight load and battery life, along with the ability to connect a solar panel for self-sufficiency with energy.

SwitchBot Curtain 3 has become significantly stronger and can now easily handle curtains weighing up to 16 kg, which is a significant improvement from previous versions. This means that you can now use it to control almost any curtain type in your home, regardless of their weight.

Battery life has also been extended, and if you choose to use it with the optional solar panel, you can virtually eliminate the need for manual charging. The solar panel only needs 3 hours of sun to be fully charged, which is an impressive example of energy efficiency. Without the solar panel, the battery lasts for about 8 months, which is still an excellent performance.

The installation of SwitchBot Curtain 3 is simple and takes only a few minutes. It requires you to mount the motor on the curtain rail and set the start and stop positions through the app. It is a flexible solution that fits various curtain rods, including u-bars, i-bars and rounded curtain rods. In addition, it copes with variations in the circumference and thickness of the curtain rods, providing users with a wide compatibility.

Another notable feature is the silent operating mode, which minimizes the noise level during use. The noise of the engine reaches only up to 25 dB, which corresponds to an ordinary whisper, which is ideal for users who are sensitive to noise.

SwitchBot Curtain 3 can be controlled in several ways, including remote control, voice control via assistants such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Siri Shortcuts and IFTTT (requires SwitchBot Hub), timed commands, light sensor, and app control. This versatility gives users the flexibility to customize the curtains according to their wishes and needs.
