At first glance, the Dreame Z30 impresses with its stylish and modern design. It has a stylish finish and a lightweight construction that makes it easy to handle. The material choices feel solid and are of high quality, it is in line with the description I received from Dreame that they put a lot of resources into just the design. The handle is ergonomically designed, which makes it comfortable to use even during long cleaning sessions. Of course, this is not the smallest handset among cordless vacuums, but considering the power it delivers, it feels well designed.
Despite its slim design, the vacuum cleaner has a robust impression and feels well built. The dust container is easy to remove and empty, and with a simple click you attach the accessories that make it easy to switch between different cleaning moments.
Suction power and performance
Above all, it is the suction power of the Dreame Z30 that impresses. With an engine power of 310 AW, it can handle both hard floors and carpets with ease. During the test, we noticed that it had an exceptionally good ability to soak up everything from small crumbs to deeper dirt, and this without losing performance over time. With its different suction modes, it is also easy to adjust the cleaning according to the substrate. The highest power is extremely powerful, but we found that even the mid-level coped with most cleaning tasks without any problems.
Battery life and charging
One of the deciding factors for many consumers is battery life, and here the Dreame Z30 delivers well. On a fully charged battery, we could use the vacuum cleaner for up to 80 minutes at the lowest power level, which is impressive. At maximum suction power, the battery lasted about 10 minutes, which is in line with other models in the same price range. The charging time is around 4 hours, which may feel somewhat long, but given the long time of use and how competitors are performing, it is acceptable to say the least.
The removable battery also offers the ability to easily replace it if you have a spare battery available, which is an advantage for larger homes or more extensive cleaning projects. However, no spare battery is included.
Ease of use and features
The Dreame Z30 is designed to be as user-friendly as possible. The intuitive interface and smart display give you all the information you need about the vacuum cleaner's battery life, maintenance and power mode. The included stand serves as a convenient storage place for the nozzles you use the most. Unfortunately, there is no built-in charging, which means you need to charge with a hanging cord to the handle.
Another appreciated feature is the wide range of accessories that allow you to easily customize the cleaning. With nozzles for both tight spaces, sofas, textiles and fur, you can clean basically the entire home without switching to another vacuum cleaner.
