Enable history in Apple Home
Sometimes it can be difficult to keep up to date on events in your smart home, such as when the front door was locked. It can also be easy to miss any notifications. With the iOS 17 update that arrived yesterday, there is now the option to activate an activity log to stay up to date. We'll show you how to go about activating the feature.
Home App Activity History: This is what you need
To enable the feature, you'll need to update your iPhone or iPad to the latest iOS17 software. You also need to update your home hub to the latest HomeKit architecture introduced in iOS 16.2.
You'll also need a compatible HomeKit or Matter product.
As it stands, only security products such as door locks, motion sensors and garage doors are logged. So if you want to see when a specific lamp was turned on or off, it is not possible right now.
