Eve has been active in the smart home market for quite some time and their products have previously been strongly tied to HomeKit. However, with support for Matter, a huge market opens up for Eve as their products now become compatible with several other smart home systems. At the same time as new products are launched, firmware updates are also rolled out to existing products with support for Matter.

The products that can be updated to Matter must be of the version that uses Thread as the protocol, which excludes the previous generations of their products that use Bluetooth.

Starting today, Eve Energy, the first product with support for Matter, will be available for purchase in Europe. Eve Motion and Eve Door & Window will be available in Sweden on April 17.

Eve Energy will cost around SEK 450 while the subsequent products, Eve Motion and Eve Door & Window will cost about SEK 560 when they launch on April 17.
