Flic Hub Gets Matter Support in Beta

Flic, known for its smart buttons and hubs, has recently announced that they are introducing Matter support in beta for all Flic Hubs. This is a significant update that transforms Flic Hubs into full-fledged Matter Controllers, allowing users to add and control Matter devices via WiFi directly from the Flic platform.

Matter is a smart home standard that aims to unite different smart home ecosystems under a common platform. Initially, Flic Hubs will be able to control Matter-compatible lights and smart plugs, but there are plans to expand support to more devices in the future.

This firmware update, version 4.3.0, will be rolled out automatically to all Flic Hub Mini and Flic Hub LR. For users, this means that their devices will be updated without them having to take any action themselves. By supporting Matter, Flic Hubs can now interact with a variety of smart home devices in a way that was not previously possible.
