Roborock unveils four new robotic vacuum cleaners
Roborock will present the S8 MaxV Ultra, S8 Max Ultra, Q Revo MaxV and Q Revo Pro at CES 2024. There are many new names and these model designations can create confusion to say the least. Roborock has focused on improving the way the robot accesses corners and edges, both for vacuuming and mopping. Here you will get an overview of the new products.
Roborock S8 Max Series
S8 Max series gets two new robots MaxV Ultra and Max Ultra. The big update is how the robots access at edges and corners. With a new arm called FlexiArm, the brushes access all the way into corners.
The difference between the robots is that the MaxV Ultra has a camera that can detect gadgets lying in its path, has higher suction power (a whopping 10,000 Pa), Matter-compatible and access to Roborock's new voice assistant “Rocky”.
Both robots also receive an updated mop. With VibraRise 3.0, there are two modules that vibrate and the mop can be lifted a full 20mm to avoid wetting carpets. New mops are also added to access corners and edges.
They both also come with the new RockDock Ultra base station. It drains, refills and dries. The drying and washing of the mops now takes place in 60°C. Both models are said to arrive in April.
Roborock Q Revo Series
Roborock Q Revo became a top seller thanks to its lower price combined with advanced features. Now we get the sequels. Q Revo MaxV and Q Revo Pro. The major updates are the FlexiArm function, which allows the robot vacuum cleaner to mop all the way to edges and corners, and the new Multifunctional Dock 2.0 base station. The doll washes the mops at 60°C like the S8 Max series but dries in 45°C.
The difference between the models is that the Q Revo MaxV has a camera with AI obstacle avoidance, access to the new voice assistant “Rocky” and automatic lifting of the mop that previously lifts only 10mm.
