SwitchBot Curtain 3 launches with support for Matter
Last week SwitchBot launched support for Matter to its motion sensor, bot, and magnetic sensor. Now they are following up the launch with their new SwitchBot Curtain 3.
The new SwitchBot Curtain 3 has received a couple of updates. The battery is now 3350mAh and is continuously charged with the associated solar panel so you never have to worry about batteries needing to be charged. The engine is now capable of pushing curtains up to 16kg compared to 8kg in the older model. Now even the noise level is lowered to 25db if you run it in the silent mode and 42db if you run it in the faster mode.
Another new feature is the ability to install a magnetic sensor that helps the engine maintain a consistent speed and always return to the correct starting point.
The engine itself has grown a bit in size and now measures 85×72.5×205 mm, i.e. 62mm longer.
Currently, it is possible to buy SwitchBot Curtain 3 on SwitchBot's website for 1066kr and with the solar panel in a package price with 10% discount for approx. 1176kr.
