For those who live in an apartment, it is usually a lock like this that is best suited. The market is not overflowing with this type of locks either.

According to the manufacturer, the Yale L2 will be twice as fast and will receive quieter mechanics and a slimmer design. Now even the lock has built-in wifi, which means that you do not need a bridge or hub inside the apartment. Wifi is one of the wireless protocols that draws a lot of power, so it will be interesting to see how long the current rechargeable battery will have.

The lock can then be connected to Yale Dot which allows you to use your mobile or smartwatch to lock and unlock the lock.

Other features that obviously come with it are automatic locking, activity log and guest management.

If you wish, you can also connect the Yale Smart Keypad to the lock. Support for Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings comes with, we miss support for Matter and Apple HomeKey wich is found in e.g. Aqara U200. Considering that a keypad is included with the Aqara U200 and which at the same time is much cheaper, it will be interesting to see how the Linus L2 stands up.
