Husqvarna 410XE Nera
Husqvarna has launched a new top model in robotic lawnmowers, the 410XE Nera, and we have tested it this spring. A sporty and modern design reminiscent of a small sports car with its prominent wheel arches and slit-shaped headlights. The robust construction and IPX5 certification allow you to clean it with a garden hose without any problems.
With a maximum mowing area of 1,000 m² and an ability to handle slopes up to 30%, the 410XE Nera is built to cope with fairly large and complex lawns. The 410XE NERA is equipped with two rotating disks, one regular and one slightly smaller, located at the rear of the robot. It allows clipping close to the edges by sweeping the buttocks in a rotating motion. The cutting height can be adjusted between 20 and 55 mm.
The optional EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) allows you to operate the mower without installing a loop in the lawn. However, this feature requires an additional plug-in kit and a reference station, increasing the overall cost on an already expensive robot. The mower is also equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for easy connection and control via the Husqvarna Automower Connect app, which also offers voice control via Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
The installation process can be somewhat complex, especially for those who choose to use the lawnmower without a loop and do the installation themselves. Husqvarna offers help with installing the robotic lawnmower which is really recommended.
However, the app, which may feel confusing at first, offers many powerful features once one has learned to navigate it. Through the app, you can schedule mowing, adjust the mowing height and get real-time updates on the mower's status.
The Husqvarna 410XE Nera delivers excellent mowing results, especially thanks to its helical mowing function that effectively handles tall grass. The second cutting disc allows the robotic lawnmower to mow very close to the edges which is the top. Despite its impressive mowing ability, obstacle recognition is not as impressive, which can cause the mower to run over small obstacles.
