How does Homey work?
By having brands or enthusiasts code apps for the Homey platform, you can install these to your Homey. By installing e.g. The IKEA app and you can then connect IKEA smart home gadgets to your Homey. Pretty quickly, you're sitting on a platform with the ability to automate devices from different brands under one app. Homey currently supports over 50,000 different devices. Maybe you have lights from both Philips Hue and Plejd at home and want them to turn on with a single command? Then Homey is a good option.
