Dreame A2 is here! - With EdgeCut

Last year, Dreame unveiled its first robotic lawnmower at IFA. This year comes the sequel Dreame A2. Dreame has really listened to its customers, this time we'll see some of the improvements we wanted and some more!

OmniSense 2.0

The OmniSense is now getting an update in the form of a front camera that can sense smaller objects. The earlier A1 had some problems with just that.

Thanks to the new technology, the robot can now fully automatically create a cutting area with AI-Powered Boundary System. You just need to set the robot down and it does the rest. Afterwards, of course, you can edit your new map.

EdgeCut

The new Edgecut technology brings the robot even closer to the side of your lawn. The rotating disk can move sideways as close as 5 cm from the edge of the lawn.

Better attachment with less damage

The wheels also get an update along with now two more powerful engines on each wheel. This way the tires won't tear up as much of your lawn.

Body and material

As we have previously reported in our test of Dreame A1 so the older bodywork got pretty easily scratched. Dreame has listened to us and has now turned the body into a material that does not scratch as easily. Thanks Dreame! Now it remains to be seen whether the new body can handle it better.

Dreame has even noted our comments about the slightly plastic feel of the steering wheel and buttons on the control panel, everything now feels a little more premium.

There is a handle at the back.

The back part

I really thought that the red line at the back would shine like a led strip in this update but unfortunately it doesn't, was a little disappointed I must say.

Of course, we will be sure to test this robotic lawnmower for next summer! At the moment we do not have Swedish prices for the Dreame A2 but it will cost more than the A1 did at launch.
