The Aqara Camera Hub G3 gives you full control of your home, no matter the room in which the camera is placed. The camera has a resolution of 2K 2304×1296px, a focal length of 110° and night vision. In this way, you get a clear and clear view of your home.
Through Aqara's own app, you have the option to pan 360° and tilt the camera up and down so it's hard to miss any part of your room. With a worse WiFi, it can take a few seconds for the image to update when you click in the app to rotate the camera which can be a bit frustrating, but this has been solved by Aqara smoothly. For example, you can set camera angles that you can pan to with two clicks. These angles can also be used in automation, if someone opens a door with one of Aqara Magnetic Sensors installed so the camera can be directed towards the door. I don't have children myself, but no matter how I do it, there is always someone moving or pinning the camera which causes my preset angles to end up wrong, so it is important to place the camera where no one can access it if you want to maintain your angles.
The Aqara Camera Hub G3 doesn't just represent a surveillance camera; it's a powerful, versatile device that forms the core of the smart home. With its 2K resolution, it provides high-quality images and with two-way communication, you can easily carry on conversations with people in your home.
AI features
AI-powered recognition is one of the most impressive features of the Aqara Camera Hub G3. The camera can not only identify faces, but also distinguish between known and unknown individuals. This opens up custom security customizations, such as sending notifications if an unknown face is detected. It can even identify pets, which is useful for pet owners who want to keep tabs on their four-legged friends. In addition, the camera can recognize and respond to hand gestures, allowing gesture-based commands such as closing the curtains with Aqara Curtain Driver E1 or turn on the TV.
Indoor camera and hub in one
One of the most unique features of the Aqara Camera Hub G3 is its function as the central hub for other Aqara devices. Using the ZigBee 3.0 protocol, the camera can interact and control a wide range of smart home devices, from sensors and lighting to security systems. This means that users can create a complete solution for their smart home, all controlled from Aqara's app. However, it is only possible to connect Aqara's own products to the hub.
Control your devices with IR
The Aqara G3 has a built-in IR lamp that gives you the ability to control your “dumb” devices at home. For example, you can add your TV or air conditioner to the Aqara app and use automation to make them a little smarter.
